The Hasi collection was borne out of a trip I took to visit my Aunty in India with my sisters in 2018. It takes inspiration from the graceful curved forms in Indian architecture and interiors, while some pieces also incorporate a hint of traditional ironmongery in the oxidised elements. Named after a very special giggly little girl who I met on my travels, the name Hasi means laugh or smile in Bengali, and for me it evokes memories of the incredible warmth of the Bengali people.
These Indian-inspired gold and ruby earrings sit snugly on the ear, but are bold enough to make a statement. Golden curves topped with a line of glistening castell set pink-red rubies. Delicious!
The Hasi collection is designed and handcrafted in gold and oxidised silver by me using traditional goldsmithing skills in my Dublin workshop. Tiny rubies are castell set by a master stone setter in Dublin. All pieces are hallmarked by the Assay Office in Irelands historic Dublin Castle.
Collection pieces can be customised on request in alternative fine metals and precious gemstones. I work with 14K and 18K recycled yellow, rose and unplated white gold, and depending on the piece can source alternative gemstones.
