Cameo Pendants

For most of us cameos evoke memories of childhood or loved ones. I remember my own mother telling me how she bought my granny a cameo brooch with her very first pay cheque.

Cameos have been popular throughout history. Dating as far back as around 3000 BC, they were used in ancient civilizations as symbols of wealth and even currency. They remained popular into the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

I love the idea of honouring these memories while giving these classic pieces a contemporary twist. Each vintage cameo pendant is a one of a kind hand crafted piece. I love to think of where they might have been and all the stories they could tell. Its a privilege to give them a new life to gather new stories as they go.
