The Collection

The Dwell collection takes inspiration from the unique connections we have to our dwellings. Based on the masonry around doors and windows of Georgian and Victorian buildings, this collection contemplates traditional craftsmanship and the passage of time. Through generations of lives lived, modernisation and dereliction, it is the external stonework that endures. Ageing beautifully but standing strong as it interacts with the natural world, it gives us a glimpse back in time connecting us to our shared past. The dwell collection translates these traditional facades into unique wearable contemporary pieces.

Inspired by the beautiful masonry in old Dublin buildings, this substantial piece in recycled14K yellow gold translates this traditional inspiration into a unique wearable conversation starter.

The Process

The Dwell collection calls for the traditional skills of both wax hand-carving and metal forming in its development and is handcrafted in solid 14K yellow gold by me in my Dublin workshop. Conflict-free diamonds are set by a master stone setter in Dublin. All pieces are hallmarked by Irelands historic Assay Office in Dublin Castle.

Customisation

Collection pieces can be customised on request in alternative fine metals and precious gemstones. I work with 14K and 18K recycled yellow, rose and unplated white gold, and depending on the piece can source alternative gemstones.

Recycled 14K recycled gold, classic white diamonds.

Measurements (approx.)

Half shield part: 13mm x 15.5mm x4.5mm; width / depth of band at back of ring: 2.3 mm x 1.5 mm.

Classic white diamonds x 5: H-I, 1.5mm each, total carat weight 0.075.
