The Collection
The lark collection owes its timeless elegance to a perfect balance of simplicity and complexity. Its simple kite shape is given added depth and detail with the incorporation of curved side facets to play with the light as the piece is worn. Although the name lark evokes beautiful associations with the songbird of the same name, larks tongue is also the term used for this particular graduated curved facet in traditional cabinet making.
The Piece
Inspired by the detail in traditional carpentry, these larger lark studs in solid 14K gold translate traditional inspiration into contemporary elegance. The satin finished front is contrasted by high polished side facets, and champagne diamonds for a subtle sparkle.
The Process
The elements of the lark collection are hand carved in wax by me in my Dublin workshop, before being cast in 14K yellow gold and then assembled and finished by hand. The lark collection is completed with beautiful conflict-free champagne diamonds set by a master stone setter in Dublin. All pieces are hallmarked by the Assay Office in Irelands historic Dublin Castle.
